Vitamins for Your Hair?!

We all know that taking a daily multi-vitamin not only prolongs life but also increases the quality of life on a day-to-day basis. If these effects are noticeable in the body, both internally and externally, then the same should be true for your hair! More and more hair product manufacturers are realizing the positive effects of vitamins applied externally onto the hair. As a result, you can find many hair products packed with more vitamins than a Jamba Juice! Some prime examples are the Self Absorbed Mega-Vitamin Shampoo and Conditioner made by TIGI. It's "mix of mega-vitamins A, B2, B5, D3, and E gets out-of-shape or chemically treated hair physcally fit." Also, try the ISH Color Lock products, which consist of Color Lock Shampoo and Color Lock Spray. Both products contain a hearty dose of Vitamin E for the boost of moisture your hair needs.

I recently had my extensions removed and as a result, my hair wasn't in the best condition. I had thinning all around and really damaged ends. After using the Self Absorbed Mega-Vitamin Shampoo and following up with the leave-in Color Lock Spray, I noticed an increase in my hair quality after about a week. Take it from me, the benefits to be gained from hair vitamins are definitely worth a try!

Get Rid of Frizzy Hair by Sealing Humidity Out

Unfortunately, along with summer fun comes summer frizzies due to increased humidity in the air. Water is a natural component in the chemical makeup of hair. Some is actually bonded within the hair protein and some is simply absorbed by the hair. Ordinarily, elevated humidity causes the hair shaft to swell. In dry conditions, it shrinks. When subjected to very dry conditions -- low humidity and/or excessive blow-drying -- the hair can lose water essential to its structural strength. The result is brittle hair and the "frizzies."

Those with curly or wavy hair are especially susceptible to frizzy hair during the summer. Don't be a victim to unruly tresses by using anti-humidity products, which seal out the excess moisture. A good one to try is Bigsexyhair Root Pump Plus Humidity Resistant Volumizing Spray Mousse by Sexy Hair Concepts. This is a great product for achieving volumous styles without frizziness. For everyday use, try the Conditioning Sealer by ISH Rescue, which promises to "seal moisture in and lock humidity out."

Conditioner - Your Best Friend This Summer

With beach bonfires and pool parties, your hair is bound to get dried out. Combat against damaged tresses this summer by using a daily conditioner, as well as a weekly deep conditioning treatment. If you have oily hair, try a light-weight conditioner such as Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm (not to be confused with the Ultra-Hydrating Balm which has similar packaging). For those with fine hair prone to limp locks with conditioner-use, try a moisturizing shampoo such as ISH Color Lock Shampoo , which uses Jojoba and coconut to repair your hair.

Also, do remember to use a weekly deep conditioning treatment to protect your hair against the sun and surf. My friend swears by Matrix Smooth Down Butter Treatment . I personally love the ISH One-Minute Treatment, which is especially great if you heat style your hair.
